• Olive waste: ACESUR is the greenest company of the sector. They have an integrated olive product and olive waste production cycle. In this sense, the company contributes to sustainable development by producing biodiesel, using electric cogeneration systems, recovering and treating the olive waste, which is very contaminant, and increasing the efficiency of the bio-mass.

• Biodiesel: through Olcesa Biodiesel, Acesur is one of the leaders producing biodiesel with third generation technologies. They produce biodiesel from natural local oil seeds. Acesur has also been a pioneer refining natural oils. With its technology, they help preserve a cleaner and less polluted atmosphere and create a more independent society, energetically talking.

• Cogeneration: ACESUR Group has been the pioneer, for more than 15 years, in implementing revolutionary and energetically efficient electric generation systems in all plants. In this sense, ACESUR obtains enough heat from the sub products to generate the necessary steam for the refining and drying heat (dry air at high temperature) processes. This heat is used for making the most of the bio-mass which comes from olive waste, and industrial cold to undertake the packing process under stable temperature conditions. These conditions allow a better process efficiency which guarantees a correct and secure measure and an effective capacity of each oil packing, as well as cold to correctly condition the facility (air conditioned for production areas, offices, etc.).

• Bio-mass: ACESUR Group has been one of the first companies within the sector which has treated the olive waste by drying using the gas leaked from the cogeneration facility. This fact has led to a consequent energetic saving, as they do not consume bio-mass as fuel and as they do not generate any emission or environmental pollution. ACESUR has also been a pioneer in transforming the bio-mass. As they palletized it, its efficiency has been increased in combustion processes where the bio-mass is used together with fossil combustibles, such as coal, to reduce the pollution levels and/or emissions. In this sense, ACESUR has become one of the main exporters to the EU due to the quality and calorific power of its product.
